Having identified the main phrase, but let’s stop for a moment to think about the way readers think, so when searching from Google what terms they will use to reach your article, this problem is very important. It’s important otherwise the content you create is very good and useful, but if you use the wrong key phrase, it will have less chance of reaching searchers via Google, Bing, Yahoo search.
From the content of the article > identify the phrase you think is the most important (subjective, emotional) for page
- WHO: Who is the content written for?
- WHAT: What topic/event to write about?
- How: How to write the most effective way?
- What is the purpose of the article?
Combining these questions, you come up with a keyword phrase for your subjective article in the following form:
Objects + Events, topics written about that object
Eg: in this post
- Objects for those who write articles for websites and blogs
- Choose key phrases and place them in the article
- Purpose: Help each article get better traffic from search engines

The next step is to use a keyword analysis tool, see if you can find other terms that match the content, that more users search for?
Step 2: Analyze keywords to find more relevant phrases
In this step I will guide you to use some techniques for the most basic keyword research so that you can find more suitable keyword phrases for your article, because the phrases you find are subjective. your personal, but with that content topic, what terms users often use to find that is what you need to do next.
- Use Google search to find suggested phrases
- Refer to TOP articles in the search results page
- Use tools like Google Ads, Ahrefs, keywordtool.io
Step 1: Use it with Google Search first, enter your main phrase in the search box as follows:

In the search box, Google will list a list of phrases that are close in meaning to the phrase you enter, review and consider this phrase to see if there is a better use of this phrase than your main phrase. If not, consider using those 2-3 phrases in your content.
Next, scroll down to the bottom of the article to refer to Google’s suggested phrases:
These suggested phrases Google calls the List of Potential Semantic Phrases LSI (Latance Semantic Indexed).
Take a look and consider if there are any suggested phrases to use, if so include in your keyword phrase list.
Step 2: Consult and learn from the Top Top articles
The content that appears at the top is usually the content that Google considers the best and deserves to be in the top of search, it often answers the searcher’s questions well.
Refer to the Titles and descriptions of these pages:
Although the phrase used is: “How to choose the main phrase for the article”, but you see that Google understands the semantics of the text, the purpose of this step is to build a list of keywords for the article.
The list of keywords you need to create includes:
- 1 main phrase in SEO is called the main keyword
- 2-5 complementary phrases, synonyms in SEO are called secondary keywords or keyword variations
In this article I choose the following phrases:
- How to choose the main phrase for the article (subjectively chosen)
- How to build keywords (From Google Search suggestions)
- Build a keyword list (learn from the top in search)
Now that you have a list of phrases for your article, the question is not knowing which terms users use the most to search. There are some great tools that will help answer this question for you: Google Ads or Ahrefs
Step 3: Analyze keywords using Keyword Planner of Google Ads or Ahrefs
Google Ads or formerly Google Adwords
With Google Ads you need to register an account to use, usually you run an advertising campaign and it costs Google to better support this tool.
From the browser enter the link: https://ads.google.com
Use your Gmail account through the Login step
At the top right click on “Tools” and select the keyword planner as shown above
The next screen appears, enter the terms to be analyzed in the “Find new keywords” box:

– How to build keywords
– Make a list of keywords
The result will appear as below
Unexpectedly, the subjective phrase I initially chose: “How to choose the main phrase for the article” received no searches at all.
The phrase: “How to build keywords” suggests from Google search with a search volume of 20.
The phrase: “Building a keyword list” referenced from the TOP results also has no data.
At this point, you should consider finding the keyword phrases that users search for.
Note: The suggested keyword list below in the “Ideas” section is also where you should skim and find the right phrases to apply.

Once you have chosen the main phrase, next you need to put this phrase somewhere in the article, step 3 will help you do this.
Step 3: Place keywords in the article
- TITLE: In the TITLE tag, and possibly in the Post Title as possible (H1)
- DESCRIPTION: In quote, summary or Sapo – Description Tag (First paragraph of the article) 160-300 characters
- The main keyword in the name of the Image – no accents,
- The main keyword appears in the ALT of the Image
- The main keyword or supplementary phrase appears in the caption of the Photo
- The main keyword or auxiliary phrase (second keyword) appears in the H2, H3 tags of the article
- BODY Posts:
- Appears in the first paragraph of the article
- The main keyword or supplementary phrase appears in the last paragraph of the article
- LINK: The element of the primary keyword phrase (broken down phrase) that appears in the ANCHOR TEXT that links to the related article.
